Hey girl! It's been more than six months since I last updated my blog, but I want you to know that my absence wasn't about neglecting you. I needed some time to recalibrate and follow the path the Lord is guiding me on. Interestingly, I've been getting insights and visions about blogging! So, here I am.

What's been happening, girl?

Recently, I've been feeling quite disorganized, and I need to be honest with you. However, this time feels different because I'm learning who the Holy Spirit truly is and how he's here to help me through my challenges. I realized that despite doing ministry, attending church, and talking to Jesus, I haven't been utilizing the eternal helper he left for me.

Walking with Christ is not about perfection but about openness. It means acknowledging where you are, inviting the Holy Spirit to work within you, and trusting in the transformation that follows. I don't know about you but I have been wearing myself out doing this thing on my own! In this blog we are going to dig deep and get a better understanding on the Holy Spirit.

Who is the Holy Spirit?

Over the past three months, I've been diving in and out of a wonderful book titled "The Spirit Filled Life" by Charles F. Stanley, and I can't recommend it enough! Without spoiling anything, the author takes us on a journey to explore who the Holy Spirit is, what the Holy Spirit is not, and how being filled with the Holy Spirit truly works, among many other insightful topics. One of the points that really struck me in the early chapters is Stanley's admission that he didn't always think of the Holy Spirit as a person. He shares how he wasn't taught to view the Holy Spirit that way. It's a powerful reminder that the Holy Spirit is alive and should be recognized as such, bringing a personal touch to our spiritual lives. Let's dive into some details on the gift our heavenly father provided us with.

  • The Holy Spirit has feelings ( Ephesians 4:30 )

  • The Holy Spirit is God: God the father , God the son, God the Holy Spirit

  • The Holy Spirit Indwells us

If you're anyting like me, its important for me to not just be told but understand what I am being taught, most of us hear of the Holy Spirit but let's be honest do we all truly understand who the Holy Spirit is and how he works within us?

Holy Spirit Teach us how to know you

One thing I love about our father is that he delights when we want to know and understand him, granted we will never fully understands his wonders he tells us to study to show ourselves approved 2 Timothy 2:15.

1. Acknowledge Him

Start by being intentional on acknowledging the Holy Spirit, acknowledge that he is your helper, acknowledge that he is apart of you

2. Read Scripture with an Open Heart regarding the Holy Spirit

  • Acts 2:1-4: Witness the arrival of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, filling the disciples with boldness and purpose.

  • Romans 12:2: Reflect on the call for renewal of your mind, allowing the Holy Spirit to transform your thoughts and actions.

  • 2 Corinthians 5:17: Embrace the promise that in Christ, you are a new creation, and the old has passed away.

  • Galatians 5:22-23: Consider the fruits of the Spirit and how they can manifest in your daily life, bringing joy and peace.

  • John 14:26: Remember that the Holy Spirit is your helper, teaching and reminding you of all that Jesus has said.

Reflecting on the Meaning

As you delve into these verses, take time to pause and reflect. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal how these truths can be applied to your current circumstances. What areas of your life need renewal? How can you lean into God's promises more fully? Allow this journey to deepen your relationship with the Holy Spirit and enhance your understanding of God's unwavering commitment to you.

How Renewal with the Holy Spirit Transforms Daily Life

When you start your journey with the Holy Spirit, the effects ripple through every part of your life. Here are some ways renewal can reflect daily:

  • A deeper sense of connection to God and others

Understanding the Transformation with the Holy Spirit

As you embark on your journey with the Holy Spirit, you may notice that the changes begin gently. At first, they might feel like small nudges or quiet whispers guiding you along the way. However, as you cultivate a deeper relationship, these transformations become more vivid and impactful in your life.

Overcoming Challenges on the Path to Renewal

The journey to renewal is not always smooth. You may face doubts, distractions, or setbacks. Here are some tips to stay on course:

  • Be patient with yourself; growth takes time

  • Keep returning to prayer and scripture, even when it feels hard

  • Celebrate small victories along the way

  • Reach out for help when you feel stuck or discouraged
