Let's start by expressing our gratitude to Jesus for letting us witness 2025! We made it, and I couldn't feel more thankful than I do right now because last year was definetly one for the books. I mentioned in a recent social media post that I laughed so hard my stomach hurt, yet there were moments I cried so much my eyes became puffy. I referenced Ecclesiastes 3:4, where Solomon says there's a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance. He ATE with that one .. we definitely need to recognize that everything has its own time. I've chosen to title this blog post "The Reset" because that's precisely what I need at the moment, and I pray this resonates with others.
Reset is a verb that means to set again, adjust, or fix in a new or different way. This is exactly what I need from Jesus during this time—to rejuvenate me, revive, and renew the right spirit within me. In the word it says to ask and you shall recieve and lets just say I should be receiving a double portion, I trust that he will give me what i need plus so much more.
I want to discuss why resetting is crucial, when it's necessary to reset, and incorporate some scripture for better understanding. Let's get into it!
Two reasons a reset is essential:
As we journey through life, we may encounter various challenges, lessons, and obstacles. During these times, we often overlook the importance of pausing to let our mind and spirit rest and regain focus.
In today's fast-paced society, the tendency to rush from one task to another can lead to a state of constant busyness. This incessant activity can create a mental fog, making it difficult to process our thoughts and emotions effectively. When we are caught up in this whirlwind of responsibilities and distractions, we may neglect to take the necessary time to step back and breathe. Allowing Jesus the ability to renew us and strengthen us. It is during these moments of pause that we can truly reconnect with him, assess our circumstances, and gain clarity on our thoughts and feelings.
Resetting does not mean stepping away from our obligations; it involves intentionally creating space for mindfulness to settle your spirit and allow Jesus to take our burdens and make them light Matthew 11:28-30. In conclusion, as we navigate the complexities of our journeys, it is vital to acknowledge the significance of taking a step back. By prioritizing rest and reflection, we can enhance our ability to partner with Jesus to cope with life's challenges, deepen our understanding of ourselves, and ultimately foster a more balanced existence. Embracing the power of pause is not just a luxury; it is a necessary component of living a mindful and purposeful life.
Signs It's Time to Start Reset
Feeling Complacent: If you find yourself in a routine that feels unfulfilling and routine, it may be a sign that you need a change. A lack of excitement or passion can indicate that it's time to seek new opportunities.
Constantly Feeling Unhappy: Persistent feelings of sadness or discontent can be a strong indicator that your current situation is not serving you well. Reflecting on the sources of these feelings can help identify areas in need of change.
Desire for Growth: If you feel a strong urge to learn new skills or explore different experiences, it may be time to pursue avenues that align with your aspirations.
Negative Influences: Surrounding yourself with toxic relationships or environments can drain your energy and motivation. Recognizing these influences is essential for making a change. 1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.”
Life Transitions: Major life events, such as moving to a new city, changing jobs, or going through a breakup, often serve as catalysts for starting anew. These transitions can provide the perfect opportunity for reinvention.
Loss of Purpose: If you no longer feel connected to Jesus, your goals or values. it might be time to reassess your life direction and consider a fresh start. Jeremiah 32:19 Great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds. Your eyes are open to the ways of all mankind; you reward each person according to their conduct and as their deeds deserve.
Concluding
It's time for a new beginning in 2025! Doesn't it seem logical? Indeed, resetting with Jesus might be exactly what you need to get back on your feet. In a world that often feels chaotic and overwhelming, the idea of hitting the reset button resonates deeply with those yearning for change. Indeed, resetting with Jesus might be exactly what you need to get back on your feet.
In the journey of life, we often encounter moments of struggle, uncertainty, and disillusionment. These experiences can leave us feeling lost and disconnected from our purpose. As we look ahead to 2025, embracing a new beginning through faith can provide a sense of direction and renewal. By inviting Jesus into our lives, we can find the strength to overcome obstacles and the wisdom to navigate life's complexities with grace. Moreover, this journey of resetting with Jesus is not just a personal endeavor; it can also foster a sense of community and belonging.
